Eero Saarinen used, the architect of the catenary curve (the curve that allows for optimal arch support its own weight) in many of his projects, including the TWA Flight Center at the John F. Main Terminal Kennedy International Airport Dulles International Airport near Washington, DC, in addition to the Gateway Arch, the Gateway Arch, however, is the only building in the world only on the catenary curve was used. Presumably he had to use the curve to a cost of friendship, which had reached the height of a tower, but the symbolic form of a door.
